2013 Fundraisers Underway!

It's hard to believe 2012 is coming an end quickly.  Dinner of Hope and the Hope Run were huge successes, leading the Mad Hatters to raise over $6400 for the American Cancer Society in the year 2012.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors who supported our two events, as well as all the participants, survivor models, DJ, photographers, and volunteers.  Without all of your help and support, we would not be as successful.

Now, 2013 is fast approaching and your Mad Hatters are busy with the beginning stages of planning the Dinner of Hope and Hope Run.  For those of you who are interested in attending either event, mark your calendars for March 16th (Dinner of Hope) and June 8th (Hope Run.)  We can not wait to see you, your family, and friends attend these heart felt events.  Please keep checking back to see the latest news.

Relay For Life

This last Friday night through Saturday morning was a powerful event for celebrating those who have fought cancer and survived, or those who have battled and lost.  Our team, for the past three years, have provided an opportunity to participants to take a photo.  In years past, we have provided a giant backdrop with the Relay's theme (from teammates dressed as characters our first year, to a Winter wonderland last year.)  This year, we were headed into a photo booth type setting.  With space limited, we did what we could.  Definitely not the "higher-end" photo opportunity it was in the past, but this seemed fitting for us.  Something fun.  Something silly.  Something enjoyed by all.  Below is the link you will need to find your photo and view.  You are more than welcome to print the photo(s) you would like to.  It was our pleasure in taking your pictures.  Thank you for participating!

Last weekend, we were able to host a wonderful fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  Our Relay for Life team put on a dinner that was absolutely amazing.  I'm sure I'm a little bias in this area being that it I'm the chair of this function.  However, I have been told by a number of people how the dinner has truly touched them.  There were a number of speakers and models who were able to share their experiences.  Each had their own life changing story which brought tears to many, myself included.  If you were unable to attend the dinner, you truly missed something special.  Save the middle of March next year, because we'll be doing it again.

Dinner of Hope

This is our second year hosting a "big" fundraiser.  Well, big for our team.  Last year, we raised slightly over $1400 with Divalicious, our women's only event.  I was amazed to see how many men wanted to attend last year, so we opened it up to both men and women this year.  They wanted to attend to support their spouse or loved on in the Cancer Survivor Fashion Show.  Or, to support the cause because they had a loved one die from cancer.  With the need to change our fundraiser, we had a need to change the name.  Dinner of Hope stands for a number things.  Hope, to me, means that one day, my daughter will not see the amount of cancer I have seen in my life time.  It means funding the needed research in hopes that there will be a cure for cancer, so many lives can be extended to spend time with their own loved ones.  It means bringing the much needed support to the Wenatchee Valley patients currently in treatment.

Why not take a little extra time Saturday evening, March 24, 2012, to support Dinner of Hope.  All the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society ~ Relay for Life.  You can contact me today for your tickets.  Notice the page link above with more information.  We look forward to seeing you there.
