I think, as a team, we often get excited about our fundraisers we are planning.  Dinner of Hope was a huge success, and it was due to the women that worked hard to make it happen.  Now, we are in the planning stages of our Hope Run.  Save the date for Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Riverfront Park in Wenatchee.  This is only going to get bigger and better as the years pass.  For our second annual run, we are adding a costume contest with great prizes from local businesses.  We are also looking at bringing businesses in that offer either a product or service that specialize in healthy living.

Dinner of Hope was a...

SUCCESS!  We would like to thank everyone that attended our event, our sponsors, and business that donated their services to help make our event what it is today.  Without each of you, we would not be donating over $3000 back to the Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.

Dinner of Hope is FAST APPROACHING

Just 33 more days until our big event.  It's hard to believe how quickly it is coming this year.  We are hard at working making this event bigger and better from last year.  Many of our staples will be returning, such as the  fabulous Lynette Smith from Lynette Smith Photography and Shelda Winschell of DJ Shelda.  Both of these women have been touched personally by cancer.  They know what it is like to lose a loved one and/or battle the disease first hand.  Our silent auction is growing as well.  Look for some intriguing gift baskets, sporting events, photography packages, and more.  Lastly, we are busy recruiting our survivors for our third annual Survivor Fashion Show.  If you know of anyone that would be willing to "strut their stuff", please feel free to contact us.  We're looking for both men and women of all ages.

Wow!  Our Relay team really knows how to Relay.  We have, not one, but TWO major fundraisers.  Read the two following posts for more information.

Have you checked out the Dinner of Hope tab recently?  We are only 6 weeks away from a very emotional, yet inspiring fundraiser.  We are collecting a number of terrific silent auction items.  You will not want to miss this!  You can get your tickets today by doing one of four actions: 1.) The Hope Run is becoming bigger and better this year.  It's too early to get out some of the details, but there is now a Hope Run Series.  We are collaborating with other Relay For Life teams across Washington and Idaho to bring everyone a chance to get involved, show that being physically active is a healthy benefit, and to all come together for the cause of stomping out cancer.  Keep coming back for more information.  I'll be posting it when I know more.

2013 Fundraisers Underway!

It's hard to believe 2012 is coming an end quickly.  Dinner of Hope and the Hope Run were huge successes, leading the Mad Hatters to raise over $6400 for the American Cancer Society in the year 2012.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors who supported our two events, as well as all the participants, survivor models, DJ, photographers, and volunteers.  Without all of your help and support, we would not be as successful.

Now, 2013 is fast approaching and your Mad Hatters are busy with the beginning stages of planning the Dinner of Hope and Hope Run.  For those of you who are interested in attending either event, mark your calendars for March 16th (Dinner of Hope) and June 8th (Hope Run.)  We can not wait to see you, your family, and friends attend these heart felt events.  Please keep checking back to see the latest news.
